Out efforts for the environment

Kobak’s vision on sustainability focuses on the actions, decisions and planning we develop when facing not only the short-term criticalities, but also on the long-term challenges. Because today and tomorrow are closely linked: what we do today has an impact on the future, so we believe that is important to take considerate actions.

The policies on social and environmental sustainability adopted by Kobak show a functional multi-level model of business, from the production process to the internal organization: a company that works not only for profit, but also for the internal wealth of the employees.

The reduction of plastic waste is largely debated, particularly regarding the single-use plastic (such as water bottles and plastic bags), that are scattered through our oceans.
Kobak uses its energy and resources in an efficient way, investing in circular economy. Practical examples of Kobak’s efforts in this direction is the total regeneration of the products, so that the plastic waste is reduced to zero. Kobak is also a carbon-free company, meaning that it does not generate carbon monoxide in the process of production and disposal of the toilets.
Social equality is guaranteed among Kobak’s employees, discrimination of any kind is not tolerated. In this way Kobak created a safe and balanced workplace, where all employees are eager to grow and be a part of the brand.

K circular system: how it works

Step 1

The raw material
Kobak products are created from 100% recyclable polyethylene powder, with a rotational moulding system, in various colors, anti-scratch and anti-UV.

Step 2

Ready to use Products
Kobak’s portable toilets are assembled and tested and can be delivered to our clients.

Step 3

Products distribution
Kobak Dealers
deliver the products directly on construction sites and events.

Step 4

Rental Period
The portable toilets are periodically cleaned and maintained by Kobak’s personnel, during all the rental period.

Step 5

The end of the toilets’ life cycle
The portable toilets that are at the end of their life cycle, are picked up by Kobak to be scrapped.

Step 6

The regeneration of the product
The obsolete Kobak products are grounded and transformed in new, printable material.

Kobak prints the toilet with a rotating technology, using polyethylene powder 100% recyclable. The new toilet then starts its life cycle, by being distributed by the Kobak dealers. They take care of the periodic cleaning/emptying and maintenance of the toilet, until the end of the rental period. After years of use, the toilet will be obsolete and ruined, and it comes back to Kobak to be “grounded”. The material coming from the grounding it is then completely re-used and printed again, starting again the life cycle.

Every day, Kobak grounds obsolete products and re-use the waste coming from the grounding, creating a new toilet. In this way, the plastic waste is reduced to zero and the toilets are 100% sustainable.

Why is it eco-friendly?

The life cycle of a portable toilet lasts many years, thanks to the very resistant plastic. Kobak products are created in our production center, which allows us to reduce costs of transport and CO2 emissions.

All of the Kobak products, including the chemicals for the sanitization of the toilets, are harmless to men and eco-friendly.
